The Student Body President is the official spokesperson of University of Connecticut students. They also serve as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the entire Undergraduate Student Government. The President makes appointments of students to all external positions in the University, the Standing Committee Chairs of USG, and five ex-officio senators in the Student Senate. They act as the Chairperson to the USG Executive Committee. The President is elected by the student body at-large in the spring on a joint ticket with the Vice President.

This is Ama Appiah, the USG President! Ama is a rising senior double majoring in Molecular and Cell Biology and Communication. She has a passion for bringing people together and building strong interpersonal connections. She hopes to apply her passions to work on bringing the best out of each student to improve the UConn academic, social and wellness experience.
