Hi Everyone! I’m Kyle Lowry, a Junior Economics and Political Science major running for reelection as a CLAS Senator. I’ve been actively involved in the Senate since Freshman year, and currently serve as the Speaker. In USG, I’ve been involved in initiatives ranging from pop-up food pantries aimed at addressing food insecurity at UConn to registering students to vote in the 2022 and 2024 elections. As Speaker, I’ve had the privilege of supporting other students in their advocacy, connecting Senators with administration to promote dialogue and transparency. I’ve worked to make USG more accessible to students by recruiting our largest-ever class of Senators this past Fall, splitting residential Senate districts into individual housing complexes to bring us closer to the students we represent, and adding positions that guarantee representation for first-generation and undocumented students. If reelected, I hope to continue this important work and be a resource to all students in and outside of USG. Thank you for the opportunity to represent CLAS and your consideration in this election.
