Academic Affairs Committee


The Academic Affairs Committee advocates and creates initiatives to support and enhance students' education at UConn

Initiatives and topics include, but are not limited to:

  • Providing all Storrs undergraduate students with a free New York Times subscription through their UConn Email
  • Providing all Storrs undergraduate students with $15 of free printing money located in their WEPA accounts (not guaranteed)
  • Educating students about the Husky Book Bundle Advocating for Open Educational Resources
  • Advocating for underrepresented students
  • Advocating for students on Academic Probation Educating Students about their Academic Rights (ie. how to appeal grades or how to reschedule finals)
  • Advocating for students with disabilities and for increased pedagogical accessibility
  • Advocating for faculty participation in the syllabus repository
  • Advocating for students struggling with Academic Advising Planning and executing events such as Finals Care Fair, Financial Literacy Events, Pre-professional and Graduate School Educational events, etc.
