What do Multicultural and Diversity Senators do?
The Undergraduate Student Senate has 10 Multicultural and Diversity (MCD) seats up for election each Spring. MCD Senators are elected by the student body at-large, and any student is able to run to represent underrepresented identities in USG. In between elections, students can be appointed to a vacant MCD position by the Speaker of the Senate.
Any students interested in filling a vacancy or running in an upcoming election are encouraged to reach out to the Speaker of the Senate (speaker@usg.uconn.edu) for more information.
