Auveen Beheshti - Academic (CLAS)

I am running to be an Academic Senator for the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences because I care deeply about student voices being heard and represented in meaningful ways. As a CLAS student, I understand the diverse academic, social, and personal needs of our community, and I am committed to advocating for both our college and the student body as a whole. I will actively seek out student perspectives, value open communication, and represent my peers through listening to their needs.
I am motivated to maintain consistent contact with constituents, encourage student involvement, and work collaboratively with fellow senators to advance legislation that improves students’ quality of education and life. I am also prepared to be an active, reliable, and enthusiastic member of USG and to fully participate in Senate meetings, trainings, and development programs.
