Aditi Hemant Thaker - Academic (CLAS)

I am running to be a CLAS Senator because I believe transparency and accessibility are essential to academic success. One issue I care deeply about is the affordability of academic resources, including the Husky Book Bundle and campus printing services. While these resources are intended to support student learning, their costs can create financial strain for many students.I also want to address about syllabus transparency, particularly encouraging earlier access when possible. Making syllabi available a few days before classes begin would help students prepare academically and feel more confident entering the semester.
As an international student, I am also especially committed to advocating for academic support that recognizes the unique challenges international students face. These include navigating unfamiliar academic systems, grading expectations, and communication norms. I want to work toward clearer academic resources, stronger advising support, and more inclusive policies that ensure international students are set up to succeed from day one.
As a CLAS Senator, I will listen to student concerns, advocate for transparent academic policies.
