Ramin Mirzaee - Academic (CLAS)

Hi,
I’m Ramin Mirzaee, a freshman at UConn but more importantly, a student in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, and I’m running for USG Senator.
CLAS alone is home to over 10,000 students making it the largest academic college at UConn. In a college this large, it’s easy for individual voices to get lost, which is why representation matters. That is why I am running.

I understand the challenge of juggling priorities on campus. I myself am a HuskyTHON Rising Leader, the Secretary of the Persian Student Association and a member of UConn Law Society. As someone who studies Political Science, I know what is needed to represent an electorate. If elected, I aim to be a senator who listens, shows up, is approachable, and ensures that CLAS students have a strong voice in the Undergraduate Student Government.
