MESSAGE FROM THE CANDIDATES
Hello I am Jada Lexie,
I have been a Residential Senator for two years and I am currently a faculty standards representative for University Senate.
My goal as your president is to make USG a place where everyone feels welcome. I want USG to be the organization that everyone feels comfortable with asking for the resources we have to offer. I want to be the people's voice and advocate for the student’s rights. I want you to feel not only heard but seen. My two goals throughout my presidency is to get individuals here on campus to use their voice and not feel like they would be shamed by doing so and to put student’s mental health first and to help students with the challenges that they face daily.
Your voice has so much power on this campus. I want you to choose who you want to represent you. I want everyone to have hope that this can be them one day. You are fully capable of doing anything in this world as long as you put your all into it. I want to be your change and create our unity again.

Heaven Angel Buckham deserves your vote so she can form a more transparent, welcoming, accessible and diverse undergraduate student government.
As an out of state student, she joined USG with the aspirations of fighting for students arriving on campus without resources and a place to call home away from home; even launching a platform allowing prospective students to experience college life without ever walking onto campus.
She is in favor of a diverse senate, desires to have a greater impact, and above all, she wishes to hear your voices so you the student body can help create the change you desire to see.
A top goal is to launch a recurring town hall where students can speak on the problems they have on campus and then our senators can have a better sense of direction on how to help our student body.
