MESSAGE FROM THE CANDIDATE

I am a second year psychology and political science student with a passion for advocacy and representation. My goals are to further empower and allocate resources to cultural centers to create a more comfortable environment for BIPOC students. By working closely with these centers I want to strengthen interracial dialogue and collaborative efforts. I aim to make diverse student groups feel safer, as in the cases of, but not limited to, rising antisemitic and Islamaphobic rhetoric on campus. I served as a DEI consultant throughout high school organizing events for underrepresented populations and advocating on behalf of the student body. On campus, I am in the Honors Program, Special Program in Law and regularly attend AsACC events to foster a better sense of community and connect with students. As a result, I understand the needs of the student body and what steps can be taken to create a more inclusive community. I want to continue to listen to the voices of individual students and be a true representation of our collective needs.
