Legislation Guide

The Undergraduate Student Government utilizes legislation as a formal means of representing the student body, advocating for changes from the university’s administration, and refining the organization’s internal structure and governing procedures.

Legislation generally falls under three main categories:

  • Statements of Position: Provides USG’s official stance on a topic. These are generally in support of or opposition to an ongoing change at UConn
  • Calls to Action: Call on UConn to make a specific change or action
  • Bylaw/Constitution Amendments: Changing the rules and procedures of USG
