Olivia Eshoo

MESSAGE FROM CANDIDATE

Hi, I am Olivia Eshoo and I am a sophomore here at UConn. I am a molecular and cell biology major on the pre-med track and am a part of the honors program. For a little more about me, I enjoy going to the gym and hanging out with friends in my spare time and currently work as a lab assistant in the BIOL 1107 labs. When I first entered college, I had no idea what USG was or what they did and therefore, had no initial desire to get involved due to lack of knowledge. However, through friends I have attended some meetings and learned that USG is a great place to advocate for myself and my peers. Through my interactions with a very diverse array of identities on campus, I see that many students have ideas that would create a better campus environment but have noticed that many don’t know where to present these ideas. As CLAS senator, I will make it my goal to hear the voices of various students across campus and advocate on their behalf.
