MESSAGE FROM THE CANDIDATE

Hello everyone, my name is Giuliana, and I am a junior majoring in chemistry and MCB. I have been a member of USG for the past two years as Inventory Director, and more recently, the South Campus senator. I have worked with our current Comptroller to transition our inventory reporting system from Forms to Kuali Build in order to keep more accurate records of USG-funded equipment and allow clubs to submit all their inventory-related requests in one place. Additionally, as a senator, I have worked on legislation and met with facilities operations to work on ideas to increase communication with students surrounding the work order process.

As Comptroller, I would focus on the following:

~Continuing to improve the Tier II Funding system as needed alongside the Funding Supervisors and other staff.
~Streamlining the inventory reporting process.
~Increasing transparency surrounding the budget and creating more opportunities for student feedback.
~Working to ensure that our bylaws and organizational structure do not allow corruption, especially surrounding payroll for student employees.
~Cutting as many unnecessary costs as possible so there is more money available for club funding and other student-lead initiatives.
