Hello, huskies! I'm Georgia O'Connor, a first-year student studying Political Science and English. I come from a small town in CT, where everyone knows everyone. So, while growing up, I felt I needed to suppress my differences to fit in. In my case, it was being raised Jewish. But, since completing high school and coming to UConn, I have realized that our unique backgrounds make us special. I brought these lessons to my MCD senator position last semester, where I had the pleasure of voting on legislation that supported student well-being and safety. But my hard work and advocacy are not done! I intend to re-run for Multiculturalism and Diversity senator and continue to give a voice to the voiceless.
