My name is Kayla DeLuca, and I am a passionate first-year Political Science major running for Senate to represent the College of Liberal Arts & Sciences. Government and politics affect our everyday lives, and I want to use my knowledge of these fields to serve as a strong leader for CLAS students. As a first year, I am eager to play a vital role in creating impactful change in our campus community. Acting as a liaison between undergraduate students in CLAS and USG, I aim to ensure CLAS students’ voices are heard. Further, I intend to serve on the Academic Affairs or Student Services committee to advocate for students’ academic needs and support initiatives that help foster students' overall well-being. In a time of academic stress, constantly evolving policy changes, and campus-wide changes, I believe that with your support, we can help foster a more inclusive, supportive, and active campus community.
